Two Friend Bistro
As many of you are aware, Two Friends Bistro is temporarily closed. The last few months have been difficult with a slow down in busines and the loss of Tim. At this point, being the sole owner of the business does not seem feasable, however the possibilty of reopening remains if I find a patner within the next month.
I want to thank you for your patronage and hope to see you around.
Best wishes,
Rick
It all started back in February when we excitedly reported VERMONT HAS A GAY BAR!!! Two friends pooled their money, time and energy together to give us something we hadn't had in almost three years - a GAY BAR!!! They called it Two Friends Bistro (2FB). And LOTS of people checked it out the first few weeks it was open.
DJ Rob Douglas was on board from the start, dropping his partiicipation in the Third Saturday Dance Parties at Higher Ground to devote every Friday and Saturday to 2FB. He later shared the tables on Saturday night with several local spinners.
We hosted a few events there, like the Beach Party and GLAM Pub Quiz... And had fun on Easter Sunday ...
But by mid-April people sensed something wasn't "quite right" and Rick issued an Update on Two Friends via Facebook. Tim was gone and Rick was looking for another "Friend".
And many of those who gave the place a lookover when it opened up weren't coming back on a regular-enough-if-at-all basis. There was to be a T-Dance on Sunday the 24th, but when people pulled up, the doors were closed. No sign, no nothing.
Many gathered downtown, running into each other on Church Street - Rick had been seen and made some comments similar to what he would write the next day.

That's a shame. I hope the owner can work things out.
