Top 10 LeMay Events of 2007 (part 2)

posted Friday, 28 December 2007

Well - events 10-6 were fun, weren't they!!!  Are you ready to go to the top?  Let's go!!!

#5 - Judging the Miss Relay Contest

The LeMays were asked to judge the Miss Relay Contest which was held at the Franklin County Field Days site.  What a hoot.  Tim Kavanagh of Late Night Saturday fame was the host and the contestants made us look B-U-TEE-FULL!!!  We've already been asked to come back for 2008!  Let's hope Lucy remembers what the speed limit is in Winooski the next time we have to travel through there...

#4 - Halloween, the Gay National Holiday

We've ALWAYS loved Halloween... in fact, we even posted items of past Halloweens on our page.  This year we were asked to be part of the Spirits of the Tower event hosted by the City's Park & Rec department.  Over 1000 people passed through and were treated by our tricks.  Then we were were asked to judge (we did a LOT of judging this year!) at the Ghouls Gone Wild Party held at Higher Ground.  Special kudos to the trio of LeMay wannabes!!

#3 - The Year of Lucy

Whew - it's almost over!!!  It was well documented - via Lucy's Diary - on our blog page about Lucy's attempt to regain her title as "Biggest Hair" of the P-town Carnival.   But it wasn't just that... Lucy was AGAIN the top (who woulda thunk?) fund raiser for the Vermont CARES AIDS Walk.  AND she had a pair of her shoes in the Heel to Toe exhibit at the Flemming Museum.  Again, whew!  It's almost over.

#2 - The Daysie Awards

Our favorite weekly alternative newspaper, Seven Days, has an annual celebration of the area's favorite businesses, personalities, events, etc., as voted on by the readers.  Well, we went to the event (hey - how about a category for us???) and had almost too much fun.  Luckily for us (and the hosts) we left Liza at home and then left just before we got out of hand.  And we had a run-in with a certain meteorologist's wife.  Check it out HERE.

#1 - Drag Ball XII

For the fifth year in a row, we were honored to produce/host the Winter is a Drag Ball.  Over 800 people dressed up and came out to Higher Ground on a cold February night.  To help promote the event, we appeared on Late Night Saturday with Tim Kavanagh.  Here are some pictures from that night and here's a YouTube clip.  And, of course, Seven Days, treated us nice, too, with some after-the-ball pictures.

AND we're pround to announce that we'll be doing...

Stay tuned!

Thanks so much to everyone who's been a part of the BEST year EVER for The House of LeMay.  Your continued support is greatly appreciated.

Now, leave a comment, damn it!!!
