To Camp or to Camp... Do BOTH!!!

posted Wednesday, 3 June 2009

There's this definition of "camp"... a place where an army or other group of persons or an individual is lodged in a tent or tents or other temporary means of shelter.

And then there's this definition... something that provides sophisticated, knowing amusement, as by virtue of its being artlessly mannered or stylized, self-consciously artificial and extravagant, or teasingly ingenuous and sentimental.

Fortunately for us here in Vermont there are several places nearby where we can do both!  And by nearby I mean under 8 hours worth of driving.

Whether you want to rent a cabin, bring a camper or hey - pitch a tent - go for it.

Here's a listing of campgrounds in Maine, Massachusetts, New York, Pennsylvania and Quebec that cater to a glbt crowd.   This information was gathered from two websites, CampGay and Gay Campers.  If you know of, or find others, leave a comment below!!!
