Spirits of the Tower - 2008
Saturday, October 17, was a busy day for the LeMays... earlier Amber went downtown to raise voter participation, then Lucy joined her at the Spirits of the Tower Halloween event. And then after that Maggie joined them at the Uniform Party at Higher Ground!
The Spirits of the Tower took place in Ethan Allen Park in the north end of Burlington. Not the Old North End and not really the New North End... somewhere in the middle. It was put on my by the Burlington Parks and Recreation department. They did another great job!!! We did it last year, too.
We hid behind this wall of glitter leaves (we had made them a few years ago for a Leaf Peepin' Cider Sippin' show). As the groups of people walked by, we came out and said our poem... We're the witches of the tower, We eat children sweet & sour, Tonight the main course will be a stew, Made with you and you and YOU, And if we do not get our fill, Of little Susie Johnnie or Jill, We'll be angry and we'll be mad, So we will have to eat Mom and Dad!!!
Of course we were also encouraging people to vote!!! To not vote... THAT would be scary!!
Then it was time to go to the Uniform Party at Higher Ground!!!
