It's not easy to look fabulous, and it takes a lot of work. Luckily, Lucy Belle had some good friends who pitched in the morning of the parade to help finish off her float. Lucy of course was nowhere to be found. We still think she was off mixing drinks somewhere.

DJ John Martin was there to spin some great tunes for Lucy so she not only would look good, she would sound good too!

Once the float was done, Lucy Belle and her crew took it to the parade's start, and the party could begin.

Outside the window of our house, people would do almost anything for some beads.
Inside, the peace loving hippies hung out and had a drink.
The crowds grew as we threw beads.
And the boys were willing to do more and more for beads.

And then the parade started!

As always, Scarbie looked FAB U LOUS!!!

Bruce Vilanch was there to celebrate!

Miss Richfield 1981 wowed the crowd with her fashion sense.

As always, the House of LeMay had a great float. Lucy Belle had her two friends, Tawdry Hepburn and Miss Pissy Snow riding along.

Varla Jean posed for a photo.
The police brought up the rear, but the party kept going well into the night.

After the parade we caught up with some other Vermonters to see how they were doing and to hit the town.
