Primetime with Isis Vermouth

After spending Saturday in Queens, Bob and Johnnie let Amber and Lucy enjoy the Hudson Valley Pride celebration in New Paltz on Sunday afternoon.  And then that night the boys went to a place called Primetime Dance Club to see their friend Isis Vermouth.  Isis has been to the past two Winter is a Drag Balls and is a good friend of John Martin.

During the 70's, Primetime was once THE place to get to for guys from NYC to Plattsburgh.  A place in the middle of nowhere yet easily accessed from everywhere - it was a place to go and not be seen if you didn't want to!

Isis did two shows... telling fun jokes and working the crowd with her songs and dancing.   Also performing were the Kings of Fire.

Afterward she got in the cage and did another show... 

The boys got to meet Wayne (left), aka Wanda, who claimed she was "Miss Primetime" for "about ten years."  She didn't say how many decades those ten years were in... but did wear her shoes proudly!  And we want to thank David (to the left of Isis) for his offer to nakedly serve us breakfast and to Biscuit (right of Isis) for being our chauffeur, tour guide, body guard, food taster and fluffer/defluffer for the day/night.

Another aka was also on hand. Bartender Ryan was working his last shift at Primetime before heading off to school in Boston.  Some may recognize Ryan as Ashton Star ... star of movies and magazines...
