LOOK! Up in the sky... It's a bird, it's a meteor, it's a bale of pot!!!
This time of year we see a lot of Canadian geese heading south, and we've had the Leonid meteor showers to gaze at the past few nights... but now we hear that a bale of pot fell from the sky the other day up in Newport Center. Here's how WCAX reported it...
Pot fell from the sky Tuesday in Newport Center.
Police received several 911 calls Tuesday at about 3 p.m. after people saw a yellow plane drop marijuana into a field off Collins Mill Rd.
Police, Border Patrol, Fish & Wildlife and Orleans Sheriffs all responded to the scene-- where they found 54 pounds of pot-- worth $218,000.
No arrests were made. The plane disappeared and state police are looking for a Silver Chevy Impala with New York plates that may be involved in the incident.
