Roller Derby Lives On!

Back in November we told you of a start-up meeting for women who were "over 18, not afraid to sweat or get a little rough."  They wanted to start up a Vermont-based Roller Derby team/league.  Guess what... they've done it!!  Yep, the Green Mountain Derby Dames (here's their webpage and here's their MySpace page) are alive and well!!  In that post (read it HERE) we also told you about the Beaver Pond Bombers, one of Vermont's FIRST female roller derby teams.

Don't you love their names?  Our cousin Clara LeMay-Hemm would fit right in!
They are having a fund raiser on Wednesday, May 28, at Higher Ground ... we'll give you more information as the date gets closer.
